This weekend was as challenging as it was fun. The wedding styled photo shoot that we’d been planning finally arrived! Too bad it arrived on a very rainy day! We had to change all of our plans and do quite a bit of improvising and we were so happy to see everyone involved helping to make it happen. Everyone got wet but it was worth it; we were able to capture the essence and the details of the shoot. We’re really happy with the video footage and we can’t wait to see the photos! Jorge and I were so busy running around that we couldn’t get decent behind the scene photos, but hopefully our photographer will have some to share soon.
On a personal note: we also celebrated Jorge’s birthday this weekend! We have some amazing friends and we had the best time with them eating a delicious quinceañera looking cake. It was nice to see him so happy
Can you believe he turned 40? I hope to celebrate many more next to him.

I hope you had an amazing labor weekend! We spent it planning and DIYing for our upcoming shoot. I also got together for breakfast with some friends to welcome our lovely friend Nowel from DC. If you ever meet Nowel consider yourself lucky, she is one special soul. We also went bowling to celebrate not one but four family birthdays! We can’t call it a great weekend without spending time with friends, we all sat and talked for hours in our new picnic table that we scored for $20 at a local thrift store! On Monday, we met with our lovely models, they’re as cute as the pictures that we had seen and the Vintage Mavens vintage wedding dress that we love and want to use for the shoot fits! Last but not least, I wanted to show the beautiful crochet top that my mom is making for me. She is so crafty.
Jorge and I have spent our past weekends working, so we were determined to have fun this weekend.
We crashed a party on Friday (free drinks!), I met with lovely Julia from Julia Rohde Designs at the venue we’re using for an inspiration shoot that we’re planning, we had lunch with Jorge’s brother that he hadn’t seen in 13 years! And we celebrated Jorge’s parents birthday (they were both born the same day, how cute is that?) eating cake, guava ice cream, swimming and playing dominos. It was my first time playing dominos, and I must say I’m a natural
